PROCESSING

underground

preparation

  • Clean the ground. Remove loose parts, dust, cement slurry, oil and grease.
  • Thoroughly wet the substrate, but avoid puddle formation.

processing

temperature

  • Do not apply and allow to dry/set at air, material and substrate temperatures below +5 °C and when night frost is to be expected and above +30 °C, direct sunlight , strongly heated substrates and/or strong winds.

Mixing / preparing / processing

  • Mix QV 1000 as a complete container, depending on the grain size, with approx. 3.25 – 3.75 liters of clean water in a compulsory mixer or with a counter-rotating double stirrer in a mortar barrel. Pour about 4/5 of the water into the mixer, then the bag contents of 25 kg of dry mortar and mix for about 2 minutes (the plasticizer is activated by the kneading effect).
Add the remaining water and mix for a further 2 minutes until a lump-free, flowable consistency is achieved. For larger quantities, a mixing pump with a continuous mixer can also be used for the grain sizes 0-1 and 0-4 mm.
With a grain size of 0-8 mm, a piston pump or an open mortar pump can be used.
  • For machine processing, ask for our technical advice.

Application / processing

  • The mortar must be poured without any cavities and without interrupting work. Pay attention to ventilation.
  • The formwork must be tight and if possible non-absorbent.
  • Depending on the grain size, QV 1000 is used for the following casting heights or casting widths:
QV 1000-1 (grain size 1 mm): 0 to 25 mm
QV 1000-4 (grain size 4 mm): 10 to 100 mm
QV 1000-8 (grain size 8 mm ): from 30 mm

workable time

  • about 60 minutes
  • Different temperatures affect the solidification and hardening process.

drying / hardening

  • The applied mortar must be post-treated in accordance with DIN EN 13670 / DIN 1045-3.
  • Protect the fresh mortar from drying out too quickly and from unfavorable weather conditions such as e.g. B. frost, drafts, direct sunlight and direct driving rain, if necessary by hanging with foil.

tool cleaning

  • Clean tools and equipment with water immediately after use.

Hints

  • Cement and cement-based building materials can, under certain conditions, cause a dissolving attack on non-ferrous metals such as e.g. As aluminum, copper or zinc cause.
  • The specifications and guidelines of the component manufacturer must be taken into account.

consumption / yield

  • Yield: approx. 13 l wet mortar per sack
