TECHNICAL INFORMATION

PRODUCT VARIANTS

PRODUCT FEATURES

properties

  • Compressive strength: ≥ 5 N/mm²
  • exceeds the requirements for adhesive shear strength according to DIN 1053 and joint pressure resistance according to the DGfM guideline
  • time-consuming pre-wetting of extremely absorbent stones is no longer necessary
  • set water retention capacity means no water is deposited
  • Mortar that oozes out does not tear off, clogging of the internal air layer in double-leaf masonry can thus be effectively avoided
  • no contamination of the visible surfaces by mortar glue
  • weather and frost resistant after hardening
  • driving rain proof
  • force-fit adhesive bond in the contact surfaces between mortar and stones
  • no dying of thirst or burning of the mortar
  • high adhesive bond even with partially hydrophobic KS veneers
  • easy and time-saving processing

composition

  • high-quality binding agents according to DIN EN 197-1
  • mineral additives in a favorable composition

form of delivery

  • 40kg/bag
  • loose in the silo

PROCESSING

underground

Condition / Tests

  • The substrate must be dry, stable, clean, frost-free and suitable for receiving mortar.

processing

temperature

  • Do not apply and allow to dry / set at air, material and substrate temperatures below +5 °C and when night frost is to be expected and above +30 °C, direct sunlight , strongly heated substrates and/or strong winds.

Mixing / preparing / processing

  • When mixing by hand, first put the amount of water specified in the technical data into a clean container and then sprinkle in the dry mortar. Use clean tap water.
  • Mix the material homogeneously and free of lumps using a suitable agitator.
  • Do not add any more water during processing, otherwise color differences are possible.
  • Do not mix with other products and/or foreign substances.
  • Always mix the mortar with the same water content, since different additions of water can lead to a different joint pattern or stains.

Application / processing

  • All butt and horizontal joints must be made with full joints.
  • Mortar that oozes out does not soil the visible surface and can be easily removed with a mortar trowel.
  • After the mortar has set, the joint is smoothed flush or slightly recessed.
  • We recommend smoothing the joints with a piece of wood or a plastic hose, depending on the desired surface structure.
  • The processing time depends on the absorbency of the stone material used and the weather conditions. Carry out the joint smoothing in each case with the same degree of stiffening of the mortar.
  • Cover the masonry during work breaks.

workable time

  • about 2 hours
  • Times given refer to +20°C and 65% relative humidity.
  • Mortar that has already set must not be diluted with additional water, mixed up and further processed.

drying / hardening

  • The fresh masonry must be protected from unfavorable weather conditions such as very high and low temperatures, frost, drafts, direct sunlight and the effects of driving rain (e.g. by hanging with foil).
  • After completion or in the event of a break in work, the masonry must be protected by suitable measures, such as e.g. B. Covering the top of the wall to protect against driving rain and moisture.

tool cleaning

  • Clean tools and equipment with water immediately after use.

Hints

  • Due to the use of natural raw materials, the color shades can also vary depending on the respective manufacturing plant.
  • Do not mix joint and VOR masonry mortar from different production plants on the object.
  • Visually connected surfaces are to be processed with material from the same manufacturing batch to avoid color differences.
  • The color tone is influenced by the absorbency of the substrate, the weather conditions and the way of working and can therefore deviate. Subsequent deliveries must be checked for color match prior to processing.
  • We therefore recommend creating a sample area beforehand.
